Whether you are a seasoned hiker or a family looking for a fun day out, there is a walk to suit all abilities and interests.

The best part? Most of the walks are completely free, while others have a small fee that is well worth it for the experience. You'll have a week of opportunity to discover hidden gems, take in breath-taking views, and learn about the history and culture of our beautiful destination.

No matter which walks you choose, you can expect to be led by knowledgeable guides who are passionate about sharing their love for Telford's landscape and heritage. And with routes and terrain to suit all abilities, you can rest assured that everyone in your group will have a memorable and enjoyable experience.

So, whether you're looking to stretch your legs, spend quality time with loved ones, or simply immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Telford, we invite you to join us for Telford Walk Week.

Day 1 - Monday 27 May 2024

Woodland tales with Jake Evans story teller

Join us for a family stroll through the beautiful Apley Woods nature reserve led by Jake Evans, with marvellous stories, tall tales, riddles and games along the way. Hot drinks will provided at Leegomery Centre at end.

-Suitable for families with younger children. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear, can be muddy. Dog friendly.

Muir was passionate about wild places. He explored them by walking hundreds of miles through American wilderness, wrote about them and campaigned to protect them. Feed the ducks waggle walk

Enjoy a gentle 2 mile to and from Bowring Park into the surrounding countryside to visit and feed the ducks on the lake at Murphy’s Field (duck food will be provided). Hot drinks provided to finish at Bowring Park Cafe. Bring a picnic and enjoy the rest of the park after your walk.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a lead.

A Lyreco Garden and Solar Powered Future

Lyreco are one of Telford's biggest single employer and this site is their local workplace distributor headquarters. This walk includes a visit to their 55,000 square metres warehouse, with an opportunity to see their extensive rooftop solar power arrays that help power the site and electric vehicles, their gallery exhibition of award winning photos of our outstanding local countryside, their Eco Garden, plus an opportunity to explore adjacent footpaths with a short walk around Granville Country Park (around 3 Miles).
Hot drink refreshments will be provided, there will also be an opportunity to purchase food at the staff canteen restaurant or you can bring a packed lunch to eat in the Eco Garden afterwards (weather permitting).

Suitable for adults 18+ due to working environment. No dogs permitted.
