Join The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust an Easter filled with fantastic family activities and trails, an amazing event celebrating Blists Hill Victorian Town's 50th birthday and some fascinating museums to explore.

Blists Hill Celebration Day1 April 2023
Head to Blists Hill Victorian Town to celebrate Blists Hill's half-century with a day of traditional entertainment, historical talks and the chance to get hands-on and try the trades that made Blists Hill what it is today, including brickmaking, printing and blacksmithing.

Enjoy the atmosphere of the traditional mop fair, historically an annual event where workers like farm labourers, servants and other tradespeople would be matched with employers.

With the Town's iconic Victorian streets dressed for the occasion, see iron casting in the Foundry, hear more about the town’s humble beginnings and take part in a parade.

Family Trails & Hands-on Activities Blists Hill Victorian Town, 2-16 April 2023

Follow the fun trail around the Town, looking for your favourite chocolate bars in traditional advertisements. There's a chocolate treat at the end! Afterwards, you can print your own personalised chocolate bar wrapper on a printing press to take home.

Take to the woodland and hunt for our hidden wooden Easter eggs, stamping off your 'Woodland Eggsplorer' card as you go. These activities are included in the admission charge. Pick up a free voucher and enjoy a free activity during your visit, maybe a trip on the horsebus, a fairground ride or a guided tour.

Explore the Town's streets, shops and cottages and chat to the friendly Victorians about life more than 100 years ago. See traditional crafts in action, treat yourself to a bag of old-fashioned sweets and let off steam at the outdoor adventure playground.
