Shropshire Disability Network is a local registered charity run in its entirety by volunteers. We are are growing so we need to break down key roles. We are looking for secretarial help. You would be issuing invite to our members to events (excluding Members and Management Meetings) Necessary volunteer expenses available. Note we have no premises, all our volunteers work from home but you will receive support from experienced volunteers and contact.
In return we can give you a reference should you be looking for paid work. If you are passionate about helping people of all ages with a disability and/or carers then you will find this role very rewarding.
Volunteers will be providing support to our Secretary in several ways. It could be emailing an invitation to an event we have but not our quarterly or Management Meetings. We have various events ie bucket collections, awareness days so this is the type of emails you would be involved in creating and sending. You will work from your own home but will have support from experienced volunteers and Management Committee.
Any necessary volunteer expenses can be claimed monthly. Our volunteers tell us they have found volunteering for us has opened a whole new world to them. We have a membership of over 11000 people across Shropshire and beyond. We recognise our volunteers in various ways ie awarding certificates in recognition and other things.
