Opportunity Description

Support people to play a more active role in their community by connecting them to local activities, appointments and volunteering opportunities.


Accompany individuals to activities, appointments, courses and volunteering opportunities until they feel comfortable.

Meeting the participant at an agreed venue and walk them to a group/activity.


Support individuals to build their confidence, self-esteem and extend their social networks by encouraging a connection

Attend up to 6 sessions with the participant until they are comfortable and confident to access independently.


Develop a good up to date knowledge of local activities, services and opportunities within their local area.


Identify gaps in provision and feed this back to the Community Participation Team.


Within the Wellington area.
