GETTING HERE

With a brilliant location right in the heart of the UK, within just three hours’ commute of over 70% of the UK population, and with two international airports within easy reach, plus intercity rail connections and an extensive motorway network all right on the doorstep, Telford is perfectly connected.

Birmingham is just 45 minutes away, Liverpool and Manchester just an hour and a half, London two and a half hours, Cardiff, three hours, and Glasgow five hours.

By road the M54 links Telford and Shropshire to the M6 and the M6 Toll, avoiding the congestion of Birmingham, and we’re also served by major A roads including the A49, A41 and A5.

By Rail we have a direct rail service to London, as well as regular services from London Midland, Arriva Trains and Virgin to destinations across the UK.

By air we have both Birmingham and Manchester airports within easy reach, connecting us to all corners of the globe and providing a home to over 100 national and international airlines.

And once you’re here we have a superb and recently-modernised road system, a comprehensive train, bus and coach network which serves all corners of our county, and excellent and cost-effective parking across the region. Telford Town Centre itself is easily navigable, for walking, cycling and for driving, and we link onto unspoilt miles of national cycle network from routes through our historic towns to forest and off-road tracks.
