Candy and Cobwebs

Thursday 31 October and Friday 1 November 2019

Ironbridge Gorge Museums Trust are throwing their doors open on the evenings of Thursday 31 October & Friday 1 November, 5pm-7pm, for a Halloween trick or treat event, especially for under 8s and their grownups.

On arrival, all children taking part will be given a fun activity sheet to lead them around some of the exhibits in the Victorian Town - there will be a goody bag for all children who have a go at all of the activities.

Children joining in the event can:

  • Dip a candle
  • Listen to a spooky story
  • Play a trick on the townsfolk
  • Design and colour-in a pumpkin

During the evening you will come across Victorians in spooky costumes at the Grocers, Chemist, Post Office, Terrace, Plasterers, Printers, Candle Factory & Doctors. Do you dare knock on their doors and trick or treat?

There will be cobwebs, pumpkins and lanterns in the Townsfolk's shops and homes but nothing too scary - this event is perfect for families looking for a less-scary halloween night out.
